Totti uncertain for AC Milan clash

      ROME (AFP) - Injured Roma captain and striker Francesco Totti is in doubt for the Serie A match against AC Milan this weekend, coach Luciano Spalletti said Friday.

      "It will be difficult for Totti to take the field against Milan on Sunday, and there is also some doubt about (Rodrigo) Taddei," Spalletti told Italian agency ANSA.

      Totti picked up an ankle knock in Roma's 2-1 Champions League win over Sporting Lisbon in midweek, which followed their 4-4 draw against Napoli in the Serie A last Saturday.

      That result left Roma in fourth, and Spalletti believes Milan, despite sitting in 11th place, are a formidable challenge.

      "Milan are a great team, a 0-0 draw, 1-1, wouldn't be bad, but nothing is guaranteed."

      Milan thumped Shakhtar Donetsk 4-1 midweek in the Champions League but have made a slow start to the season and are already 10 points behind their arch rivals Inter.
