Messi leads Barça to next round in Copa del Rey
BARCELONA (SW) - FC Barcelona survived the fourth round in the Spanish Copa del Rey thanks to two narrow wins over Benidorm.
The Catalans had already won the first leg 0-1 and Lionel Messi scored the only goal at Nou Camp to make it 2-0 on aggregate.
Valencia had no difficulties against Club Portugalete, adding a 3-0 win to the 1-4 victory achieved two weeks ago.
Villarreal knew that overcoming the 5-0 defeat by Polideportivo Ejido was practically impossible, and that proved to be the case as the two sides now held each other to 1-1. Ejido's goal was scored by Molina, who had netted a hat-trick in the first leg.
In a Primera Division clash, Espanyol beat Celta de Vigo 3-0 for a 5-2 aggregate win.
